Job Specification - Software Developer

The Company
Structure Vision are a new company specialising in the development of advanced software tools for industrial packing, active in the Nuclear, Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries. We are looking to recruit a talented software developer to join a team developing the next generation of industrial packing analysis software.

The Role
As a software developer, you will be part of a small team reporting to the Director of Software Development and be responsible for executing development tasks on the company's core software products. The position will be located at the Company's Development Centre at Daresbury, Cheshire. This position would be suitable for a recent graduate from an Engineering or Scientific Discipline.

The Candidate
Required Skills:

• Strong C++ with a thorough knowledge of Object Oriented software programming techniques.
• At least 2 years experience in a Microsoft development environment.
• Graduate degree in a numerate discipline (candidates with equivalent commercial experience will also be considered).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Desirable Skills (one or more of the following)

• Experience with Qt C++ development.
• Masters or Doctors degree in Numerical Analysis, Applied Maths, Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded and parallel programming paradigms, such as OpenMP, CUDA, CPGPU.
• Experience with industrial packing, process engineering or modelling.
• Commercial experience within the nuclear, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, mining or chemical industries.
